Graduation Caps Year-End Performances
Twenty-one members of the Class of 2010 joined the ranks of NCS alumni during the School’s 72nd graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 5, 2010. In a packed Quonset, the new graduates received their senior books and diplomas, thanked their parents, teachers and classmates, and honored student award winners.
Trustee Dennis Aftergut, Board Vice-Chair and father of alumna Caroline Muther (NCS 08), addressed the Class of 2010, stressing the importance of the connections they’ve made here. (

Hock presented the School’s two major awards: Lewis and Jason earned recognition as Literary 46ers in the Title Trek independent reading program, and Andrea and Harry received the Jamieson-Roseliep Work Award. Senior Alex P., who first started piano upon his arrival here three years ago, performed the musical interlude, Mozart’s
Fantasy in d minor.

The graduation ceremony capped an emotional and busy 36-hour period highlighted by the junior and senior riding drill teams, a music and dance recital, the year-end slide show, and the Friday night production of
Wonderland. With a cast of 61, another 15 or so students on stage crew, superb costuming, spectacular set pieces and special effects, and an awesome original musical score,
Wonderland was truly one for the ages.
DVDs of the graduation ceremony and the performances will be available for purchase in late summer. In the meantime, click on the links below for slide shows.
