Most real estate has appreciated faster than the rate of inflation and offers great potential in charitable gift planning. We would be happy to explore with you a gift of a home, vacation property, condominium, undeveloped land, or other real estate. While we are grateful for every donor’s charitable intentions, some types of gifts require prior approval and legal forms of acceptance. Memorial Gifts
Memorial gifts are a way to honor and remember a loved one, while helping us to transform the lives of children.
Memorial gifts of any size can be designated toward any established fund. To create a new fund in memory of a family member, classmate, faculty member, or friend, please contact Susan Jones, Chief Development Officer, at 518-523-9329 ext. 5401.
At the time of death, families may want to suggest in the obituary that donations be sent to North Country School and Camp Treetops using language such as this: In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Camp Treetops and North Country School. Checks should be mailed to:

Because the size of these gifts can vary, we will establish a “holding account” in the name of the deceased. We will acknowledge all gifts and periodically provide the family with a list of names and addresses of those who have made memorial gifts. Several months later, when the stream of gifts has slowed, a Development Office staff member will consult with the family and help them to choose the fund’s designation based on the family’s interests and the amount in the fund.
